How to treat plantar fasciitis

Often plantar fasciitis is associated with:-
- tight calf muscles
- tight ITB and hamstrings
- restricted ankle/foot
- restricted fibula head
- restricted sacro-iliac joint
- restricted lower back
Your local osteopath will take a detailed case history and carry out a thorough examination to find out the cause of your plantar fasciitis.
Osteopathic treatment will involve mobilising restricted joints, relaxing tight muscles and giving exercises to maintain mobility. We may even apply K tape in severe cases.

It's July but Summer has not quite arrived in Pontypridd, this means we are not seeing as many gardening and DIY injuries in the clinic as usual.
Spring is finally in the air. The daffodils are out and we are coming to the end of the Six Nations. Not our finest hour for the Welsh team, but a work in progress. It reminds us all to never give up and things will get better.

Summer is a busy time for osteopaths as it's a time of holidays and enjoying the garden. People also tend to be more active with sporting activities during the summer.
Spring is a time for spring cleaning and for getting back in the garden. Both activities can put a strain on your back and neck resulting in joint and muscle strains and ultimately pain.
